Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in in Agile/ SCRUM based project structure & environment.
  • Follow Agile Scrum process and participate in sprint meetings, daily and weekly demo and review meetings
  • Gather software project requirements, data and business requirements from customers, project stakeholders and engineers.
  • Analyze, design and develop data warehouse process models, data sourcing.
  • Review and evaluate project designs in order to determine adequacy or feasibility.
  • Involve in data analysis and data cleansing process using different techniques.
  • Perform system analysis, data analysis, programming and business intelligence tools to prepare insights, recommendations and reports.
  • Develop programs for datawarehouse loading, transformation, and extraction (ETL).
  • Design database structures, develop & implement data extraction procedures, processing of data, updating data in sources and generating reports using data.
  • Evaluate, validate and verify data structure, accuracy, or quality of warehouse data.
  • Analyze and map data between different datasources, applications and data warehouses and use various transformations to create robust mappings between data.
  • Modify several existing mappings to meet business requirements and maintain existing mappings, sessions and workflows.
  • Respond to Change Request’s by analyzing and developing ETL mappings accordingly.
  • Develop reusable transformations, mapplets and componnents which can be used in other mapping.
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for data warehouse models, data structures, data validitation.
  • Create plans, test files, and scripts for data warehouse testing, data validation testing and integration testing.
  • Perform unit testing at various levels of the ETL and actively involved in team code reviews. Write SQL queries, PL/SQL and DataStage applications to validate the data on the source and the target systems.
  • Verify the performance of the system and resolve performance issues in the data systems.
  • Provide data flow and processing information through presentations, technical reports, white papers, manuals, flowcharts, operating instructions and guides.


Skills Requirement:

  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering or Electrical Engineering or relevant degree in science, technology, management is required.
  • Primary: Java, PHP, Python, J2EE, .NET, Visual Basic, C, C++
  • Secondary: Tableau, Qlik View, HDFS, Apache, PIG, HIVE, HBase, Mapreduce, Spring, SQL, TSQL, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, Control M
  • Databases: MySql, PGSQL, Oracle, SQL, DB2, Teradata, SAP DB, Informix, IBM Datastage, PL/SQL and Cloud databases
  • Tools: Informatica PowerCenter, SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS), Tableau Prep, SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS), SAP BO Dashboards, SAP Lumira, IBM Rational Clear Quest, HP-Mercury Quality Center, JIRA
  • Framework, Markup & Scripting: Unix Shell Scripting, Perl Scripting, XML, XSD, WSDL,
  • Others: Junit, UML, SOAP, RESTful, Log4j, Agile, SDLC, IIS, Apache, Apache Tomcat.
  • OS & Server Tools: Mac, Ubuntu (Linux), Windows XP, AIX-UNIX, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, Redhat
