Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• The primary job function of the candidate is to analyze, design, develop and implement warehouse database structures, process models, sourcing-loading-transforming and extracting data of different entities. The detailed and other job responsibilities are as follows:
• Verify the structure, write new programs, modify program using programming languages and technologies.
• Create data warehouse models for given project database structures.
• Will take part in daily and weekly scrum meetings and other Agile ceremonies. Knowledge in Agile Development practice is essential.
• Study, understand and analyze the complete system for data model design, system development, integrating, testing, evaluating and modifying systems using skills like Python, Java/J2EE, XML, Tableau, MongoDB, Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Spark, Netezza, HTML, CSS, RESTful Web services, WS-SOAP, Apache Axis, UNIX/ Linux etc.
• Study, understand, analyze and plan for the data models being used in the existing project applications.
• Ability to select methods, techniques, or criteria for data warehousing evaluative procedures for the module implementation.
• Prepare functional or technical documentation for data warehouse implementation.
• Setup Data warehouse server software and implement server configurations, database setup and load balancer setup.
• Act as a liaison between engineers, data architects, programmers, and analysts and collaborate on the project implementation
• Document data model definition and design specifications, installation instructions and other system-related technical information.
• Develop data warehouse process models that include sourcing, loading, transformation and extraction from another data sources.
• Verify the data accuracy and quality of warehouse data.
• Implement secured core data storage functionalities, security implementation for data transmission. Maintain data security, data assurance, and data redundancy strategies.
• Develop application performance requirements in data warehouse models and conduct evaluations.
• Monitor the application to detect potential problems, security threats, issues and resolve them.
• Validate and prepare test plans and do unit testings, verify industry standards and compliances for best practices and ensure the quality of the product.
• Involved in preparing supporting documentation, such as meta-data and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow.
• Responsible to explain the data warehouse model, data flow, and impacts in the software system and project information through presentations, demos, user manuals, technical reports or white papers.
• Give training and mentoring the users in system operation or maintenance. Maintain the PMO logs for the project tasks and prepare daily and weekly status reports.

Skills Requirement:

• A Bachelor’s degree equivalent in Computer Science/ Applications, Information Technology, Engineering, Management or relevant field.
• Language & Web Technologies: Java/J2EE, PYTHON, JSP, Servlets, EJB’s, HTML, CSS, Web services (Restful & Restless), C, C++,XML
• ETL & Reporting Tools: Informatica Big Data Edition (BDE) 10.0.1, Informatica 9.1, 9.5 Administration/ Developer (Power Center –Server, Services and Client components, Power exchange), Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop
• Big Data Technologies: Big Data Frameworks \ NoSQL – MongoDB, Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Spark, SOLR (Lucene-Search Engine)
• Other Tools & Technologies: Appliance – Netezza 7.0, WS-SOAP\REST, JMS, Apache Axis
• Frameworks – Spring(Batch), Hibernate, JMS,
• Operating Systems: UNIX, Linux, Windows
