Job Description:

  • Gather software requirements and define strategies for database designing, interfacing applications, data security, performance optimization and legacy migration of data from the project stakeholders.
  • Forecast requirements, prepare budgets, schedule database architecture expenses, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions and maintain financial objectives for information architecture.
  • Prepare specification documentation and system design documents, database design documentation for the requirements.
  • Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications.
  • Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
  • Develop database solutions to store and retrieve information on the project.
  • Migrate legacy database applications to trending latest solutions.
  • Define, integrate, and upgrade to a comprehensive database architecture to support applications, and platforms.
  • Confirms architecture capability and flexibility to support high availability web applications by developing analytical models and completing validation tests.
  • Improve database and application performance by conducting tests, optimize database & SQL queries, troubleshoot application code and integrating new elements.
  • Define database security, identity access management and backup procedures on the database applications.
  • Coordinate with the Data Science and project stakeholders and identify future needs and requirements.
  • Communicates technology needs and strategies to modernize application with emerging technologies.
  • Prepare application documentations, user guides, administrator guides

Skills Requirement:

  • Must possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Software Engineering/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Electrical or Electronics/ Mathematics or related field or equivalent degree
  • Others:  Java,Informix, IBM Datastage, SQL, TSQL, Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, MySql, PGSQL, SQL, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, PL/SQL, Cloud databases, Toad, Data Modeler, JIRA, Unix Shell Scripting, Agile, Apache Tomcat, Linux, UNIX
