Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in in Agile/ SCRUM based project structure & environment.
  • Follow Agile Scrum process and participate in sprint meetings, daily and weekly demo and review meetings
  • Gather project requirements, data and business requirements from customers, project stakeholders and engineers.
  • Evaluate current system & identify data, software & server components needed for implementation.
  • Discuss & communicate with other project staffs, engineers, developers to understand system requirements, determine design specifications, implementation plan and solutions.
  • Evaluate, estimate and plan for the IT resource resource requirements, timeline, cost required for the implementation.
  • Define project technical design specifications, implementation guidelines, security & deployment policies.
  • Setup distributed cloud application architecture and integrate with different components.
  • Deploy, migrate and managing systems in Linux, Windows and other server environment.
  • Automating routine process by writing BASH and PYTHON scripts, Load balancer information, JIRA ticketing, Confluence knowledge sharing.
  • Deploy and Manage 2-tier /3-tier/ n-tier applications with Apache, Tomcat, NGinx, HA-Proxy, MySQL, keep-alived, Capistrano and Redis.
  • Create, configure, monitor and manage alerts using Zabbix, site scope, cloud watch and new relic.
  • Create, deploy, update/ patch server infrastructure using Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, IBM Tivoli configuration tool.
  • Create playbooks for Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Server Hardening, keep-alived, crontab, disk
  • partition, certificate management and User Administration.
  • Manage AWS cloud environment for EC2, S3 bucket, Security policy, Load Balancer, VPC, VPN, AMI, Snapshot
  • Manage source code version control updates.
  • Configure DNS, DHCP, Samba, NTP, Time zone, Firewall, Apache, MySQL, Subversion(SVN), Zabbix, in Linux servers.
  • Configure, fine-tune, improve performance and troubleshooting server and network infrastructure. Monitor & detect potential problems in the application, network and security.
  • Configure Firewalls, Mail servers, LDAP and Identity/ Access Management.
  • Configure, monitor and manage log monitoring servers like Splunk.
  • Perform recurring hardware and software maintenance/ changes including upgrading.
  • Involve in testing server and application architecture, evaluate programs and application to verify proper functioning of software applications. Upgrade and apply software with patches and fixes.
  • Test system applications & software to ensure proper functioning, performance, security, usability and data validation.
  • Provide software project and application information through presentations, technical reports, white papers, manuals, flowcharts, operating instructions and guides.
  • Communicate & coordinate with other developers/ engineers to ensure the quality of the product.
  • Maintain comprehensible support documentation for new projects and support issues.


Skills Requirement:

  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering or Electrical Engineering or relevant degree in science, technology, management is required.
