The Magento Amex extension is compatible with Magento version 1.6 and 1.7 and can be installed through the following steps.

• Download the extension package and unzip the file

• Go to System? Magento Connect ? Magento Connect Manager

• Enter the Amex payment extension key received

• Click “Choose File” option after selecting patch, and upload through “Direct Package File Upload” option

• Choose the unzipped file and upload

• Click refresh after the upload

• Check Admin panel for the new extension
